- COURSE START DATE - There is no set start date - you can start whenever you like! You can start and study on the course any time, to suit your schedule. There are no set sessions, meaning that you can study whenever suits you - you simply log in and go! Mentoring Sessions are the only Modules which need to be scheduled.
- FORMAT OF COURSE - All courses are studied online (elearning). After purchase, you will have password-protected access to your course on our learning platform. You will be able to keep track of how far you have got and return to this whenever you wish.
- LENGTH OF COURSE - 24/7 access for a whole 12 months via our online training platform.
- Expected Hours of Study (Average) : 80 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) recommended by the CIOLQ (plus self-study)
- UPON COMPLETION / CERTIFICATION, you will receive a Diploma upon course completion; essential for most UK Public Sector work. You can go on to take the CIOLQ exam if this is your desired path.
ELIGIBILITY
Students are expected to have a high command of their second language (between CEFR C1-C2 level), as well as an excellent command of their first language.

As this is a UK course, the content is written in English. This online course is available for any language combination / pair.
Content is specifically dictated by the CIOLQ exam and real-life requirements.
- 36 Modules cover non-language specific subject matters, including Translation Techniques, Interpreting Techniques, Sight Translation and a large amount of Public Sector / Law subjects, for example Types of Courts, Road Traffic, Immigration, Prisons and lots more.
- 1 of the Modules is a Translation Practice specific to your language pair (which we'll ask you to confirm upon enrolment). You can choose to upgrade your course to have this marked by an expert linguist in your language pair who is chosen by our team, specifically to support you.
- You also have the option to buy additional language-specific support, such as Translation Practices, LanguagePartnerᵀᴹ Mentor sessions, Mock Exams and Exam Prep Bundles.
